Buffy and the Bible: Final Schedule

Our ‘Buffy and the Bible’ conference is days away and we can’t wait!

A collaborative and interdisciplinary conference between researchers at The University of Sheffield, The University of York and Kingston University London taking place at the University of Sheffield on 4-5th July 2019, this event will bring together, for the first time, scholars from a range of interdisciplinary perspectives to investigate the contribution which religion and the Bible makes to the construction of the Buffyverse and its reception.

We are thrilled to welcome Professor Matthew Pateman (Edge Hill University) as our keynote speaker and Lily Daniels as our conference artist. Check out the final schedule below!

Buffy and the Bible Sing-a-long: Screening and discussion

If that’s not enough for you Scoobies, we will be hosting a sing-a-long screening of the groundbreaking musical episode of Buffy ‘Once More with Feeling’ on the evening of July 4th. This screening will be accompanied by a discussion led by the conference organisers and a drinks reception. Conference delegate tickets will include access to this event, but you can chose to book a ticket for the screening on its own if you wish. This screening is free but we will collect charitable donations on the door. In exchange for donations there will be a raffle with extra special Buffy goodies up for grabs from our friends at Boom! Studios.
